Split system air conditioning for Langford homes
Langford is an established residential pocket in Perth's south-east corridor, within the City of Gosnells and neighbouring suburbs like Thornlie, Lynwood and Cannington. A lot of the housing here dates from the post-war and 1960s-70s period: solid single-storey brick-and-tile homes on generous flat blocks. These older houses are great candidates for a split, but they often still run original or near-original switchboards that were never designed for modern air conditioning loads. Because Otter Air & Electrical is dual-licensed in both refrigerant and electrical work, we handle the whole job in-house - running a new dedicated circuit and, where needed, upgrading the switchboard, without subcontracting the sparkie side or leaving you to chase a second trade.
Being this far inland, Langford cops the full continental swing: scorching, dry summer afternoons and genuinely cold winter mornings, with no coastal sea breeze to take the edge off. That makes reverse-cycle the sensible pick, and it shapes where we put the head unit and how we size it - usually a well-positioned unit for the main living zone, or a second in the master so the bedrooms stay comfortable overnight. Salt-air corrosion isn't a concern out here, so condenser placement is driven by run length, tidiness and serviceability rather than coastal exposure.
Common jobs we see around Langford include cooling an open-plan living area, adding a master-bedroom split, and swapping out a tired old unit that has finally given up. With the suburb's flat blocks and single-storey layouts, line runs are usually straightforward, which keeps the install neat and the quote honest. Whether it's a first system or a like-for-like replacement, air conditioning Langford homeowners can expect compliant electrical work and a clean finish.

See all reviews“Excellent Air Conditioning Installation Service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When looking to install 2 new aircons at my house, I was recommended to use Otter Air & Electrical and I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Matt and his assistant. From the initial enquiry through to the completion of the installation, the entire experience was seamless, professional and efficient. Matt responded promptly to emails, arrived exactly on time as scheduled, highly professional and the whole experience was stress-free. On the quote, he provided a few options with breakdown details of what is included in the price and makes it easier to make the decision. On the day of installation, the process was completed on schedule and I'm very happy with the quality of the work. They took great care to keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the job, and once finished, they thoroughly cleaned up, leaving everything spotless. Thank you very much, Matt and team and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, professional and efficient aircon company.”
