Split system installation in Beckenham

Split system air conditioning for Beckenham homes
A lot of Beckenham's housing stock is original post-war and mid-century brick-and-tile, and those homes were never wired with modern air conditioning in mind. The most common thing we run into here is an older switchboard with no spare capacity and no dedicated circuit for a split system. Because Otter Air & Electrical is dual-licensed in both refrigeration and electrical, we handle that entirely in-house - running a new dedicated circuit, upgrading the board where it's needed, and mounting the unit - rather than leaving you to chase a separate sparky. That keeps a split system installation in Beckenham to a single visit and one point of accountability.
Being inland and well away from the coast, Beckenham doesn't deal with the salt-air corrosion that hammers units near the ocean, so standard outdoor condensers hold up well here. What this part of Perth does get is genuinely hot, still summer afternoons, which is why the typical brief is cooling a master bedroom and an open living area properly rather than under-sizing to save a few dollars. For larger or subdivided blocks we'll plan the line run carefully so the outdoor unit sits somewhere quiet and serviceable.
Newer two-storey homes and infill developments are increasingly common across Beckenham, and these often suit a multi-head setup - one outdoor unit feeding bedrooms upstairs and living zones below - with the pipework routed neatly through the build. Whether it's a fresh install or swapping out a tired old unit, our air conditioning Beckenham work is sized to the room, installed cleanly and left fully compliant.

See all reviews“Excellent Air Conditioning Installation Service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When looking to install 2 new aircons at my house, I was recommended to use Otter Air & Electrical and I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Matt and his assistant. From the initial enquiry through to the completion of the installation, the entire experience was seamless, professional and efficient. Matt responded promptly to emails, arrived exactly on time as scheduled, highly professional and the whole experience was stress-free. On the quote, he provided a few options with breakdown details of what is included in the price and makes it easier to make the decision. On the day of installation, the process was completed on schedule and I'm very happy with the quality of the work. They took great care to keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the job, and once finished, they thoroughly cleaned up, leaving everything spotless. Thank you very much, Matt and team and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, professional and efficient aircon company.”
