Who the Daikin Alira X 6kW is for
The 6kW Alira X brings 4.5-star efficiency to serious living-zone capacity, with 7.2kW of heating for winter. Pick it over the Cora 6kW when the room gets heavy daily use — the better EER works hardest in the rooms that run the longest hours.
Sized right, 6kW comfortably covers around 40 m² in Perth conditions — master bedroom, open-plan living. In quiet mode the indoor unit drops to 29 dB(A). If you're between sizes, we'll tell you straight at the quote which way to go — an undersized unit runs flat-out and wears early, an oversized one short-cycles.
Alira X is the step up from Cora — same whisper-quiet DNA, pushed harder on efficiency, with built-in Wi-Fi and Daikin's Streamer air purification as standard. The from-price is a standard back-to-back install — indoor and outdoor unit on opposite sides of the same wall — and it includes the whole job, not a stripped-down teaser:
- The indoor head and outdoor unit, mounted, levelled, and secured
- Up to 3 metres of insulated refrigerant pipework in neat trunking
- Electrical connection to a suitable existing circuit, with an isolating switch at the outdoor unit
- Condensate drain run to ground level
- Standard outdoor mounting (blocks at ground level, or a wall bracket where specified)
- Vacuum, pressure test, and refrigerant charge to the manufacturer's spec
- Full run test, commissioning, remote demo, and the compliance paperwork
