Split system installation in Atwell
Atwell is a settled family suburb in the City of Cockburn, and most of its homes were built in a window where the air conditioning fitted then is now well past its best - exactly the kind of replacement and upgrade work we do every week.

Split system air conditioning for Atwell homes
Atwell sits inland in Perth's south-eastern corridor, near Success, Aubin Grove and Cockburn Central, so the salt-air corrosion that plagues coastal suburbs isn't really a factor here. What does shape the job is the housing stock: Atwell filled out largely through the 1990s and 2000s, which means a lot of single-storey brick-and-tile family homes on standard estate blocks, plus a healthy share of newer double-storey builds. Many of these properties are now running original or first-replacement systems that are tired, noisy and expensive to run - so a good portion of our air conditioning Atwell work is straight swap-outs onto existing brackets and penetrations.
The single-storey brick-and-tile homes are the bread and butter: a back-to-back install through the wall behind the master bedroom or living area is usually quick and clean. The thing to watch on homes of this age is the switchboard. Some still have limited spare capacity, and a split system really wants its own dedicated circuit. Because we're dual-licensed for both air conditioning and electrical, we handle that wiring and any board upgrade in-house on the same visit - no waiting on a separate sparky, and no second contractor to chase.
Double-storey homes in the newer pockets of Atwell are a different conversation. Cooling an upstairs master or a downstairs open-plan living zone often means longer pipe runs, careful routing through the cavity or roof space, and sometimes a multi-head setup so several rooms run off one outdoor unit. We'll walk the house with you, talk through capacity and condenser placement, and give you a fixed split system installation Atwell quote before any work starts.

See all reviews“Excellent Air Conditioning Installation Service! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ When looking to install 2 new aircons at my house, I was recommended to use Otter Air & Electrical and I couldn't be happier with the service provided by Matt and his assistant. From the initial enquiry through to the completion of the installation, the entire experience was seamless, professional and efficient. Matt responded promptly to emails, arrived exactly on time as scheduled, highly professional and the whole experience was stress-free. On the quote, he provided a few options with breakdown details of what is included in the price and makes it easier to make the decision. On the day of installation, the process was completed on schedule and I'm very happy with the quality of the work. They took great care to keep the work area clean and tidy throughout the job, and once finished, they thoroughly cleaned up, leaving everything spotless. Thank you very much, Matt and team and I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a reliable, professional and efficient aircon company.”
