Fujitsu General systems report faults two ways: as a two-part code on wired wall controllers and newer displays (11, 42, A4…), or — on wall-mounted splits without a display — as counted flash patterns on the indicator lamps. Both are covered below for the residential range: wall splits, multi-splits and ducted systems.
How to find your Fujitsu fault code
Wall splits without a display — count the flashes
- 1 A rapidly flashing Economy lamp means a fault is stored.
- 2 Watch the Operation and Timer lamps — they flash in counted bursts, with a pause of a few seconds between rounds.
- 3 Count one burst: Operation flashes give the first digit, Timer flashes the second. Operation 4 + Timer 2 = code 42.
- 4 On the newest series the Timer lamp carries the first digit and the Economy lamp the second — if your count matches nothing in the table, try reading it the other way.
Wired & wall controllers (ducted and cassettes)
- 1 EE:EE on an older hardwired controller means a fault is stored — it’s the prompt, not the fault.
- 2 Hold the Energy Save + Zone Control buttons together for 3+ seconds — the actual code (e.g. E:41) appears on the LCD. Same buttons to exit.
- 3 Newer backlit controllers and anywAIR touchscreens show the two-part code directly on screen. (anywAIR “FG” codes relate to the controller and Wi-Fi, not the refrigeration system.)
Older models — self-diagnosis from the remote
- 1 Stop the unit, then hold both set-temperature buttons on the remote for 5+ seconds.
- 2 The self-diagnosis code appears on the remote’s LCD — hold the same buttons for 5 seconds to exit.
